first of all battery consumption in use can hardly be compared because there are too many variable in each use case but to give you an idea as to what is possible i can tell you that my OP2 in idle, after a few days of doing my homework and use my experience from the past and with currently 7 other devices in use from LG, Google, Samsung etc. i got the battery drain down to 2-3% in 14h of idle. idle drain is the only usage that can be compared while in airplane mode, else cell signal strength and the likes have too much of an impact and spoil the comparison. if you phone has a top idle drain regularly measured ( i do it each night ) the only thing that changes is display and use case which can be adapted to the expected need of battery life. my SOT on navigation and bluetooth music on 3G is around 7h average, depending a bit how the cell signals are "en route" and how hot the outside temperature is, the warmer the less battery life ( and the cooler in the very low temps around and below zero ) i will give you a few keywords:
wakelock detector, greenify, amplify, xposed framework, tasker, app permissions in settings etc. that's how you can control your usage almost in full. FYI i have 8 email accounts syncing including 3 non-google imap accounts, dropbox, weather, calender and the full set all check for sync. location on high accuracy and my display on full brightness above 80% battery and on automatic below 80% battery. hope this give you ideas as to how you can get more life out of your battery without compromising performance or usability. ohh.. almost forgot, the OP2 but all my other devices are even overclocked and still provide such battery life. my nexus 6 for examples is overclocked to around 2900GHz and uses 1% per hour on full brigness while playing a game ( non-3D of course )
