hi guys and galls, I'm still on the Oneplus One, I've had this for over two years, which is by far the longest I've ever had a phone. The last 6 months the battery showed signs of giving out, to the point that I had to constantly carry around an external battery when I wasn't at home or at my office. A few days ago I succesfully replaced the battery and the microphone (broken), with parts I ordered from eBay and **********. This hasn't improved battery life so now I'm looking for other reasons for my bad battery. Are there any other technical parts that might be faulty and which I can replace myself? Or should I look to the software side of things? I'm on stock android 5.0.2 and Oxygen 1.0.3, I'm not running any custom launchers etc, and I j don't have anything special running. Any advice?

If your battery is older than a week and at least 2-3 charge/discharge cycles, and if you can't see improvements, yes, the problem is not with the battery :)
Or the battery you bought is not a genuine one (? I guess that the ***** mean AliE, right?)
Have you any clue about which apps are using it a lot?
    Advice: switch to LineageOS?

Did you check the date on your new battery?

Amazon and eBay batteries seem to be dated 2015.

The software goes hand in hand with the hardware.
As @pa5t1s said, switch to LineageOS (or Resurrection Remix) which is now at Android 7.1.2.
I also have my One over 2 years now and there aren't any battery problems, battery lasts around 24 hours with ~4 hours SOT at normal use. Check my signature.
