So in the past few days i have been facing some battery issue like a lesser screen on time.. loss in battery backup. i don t know what the reason for that .
i use a one plus diagnostic tool to check the battery stats . it's shows 88% which means it can only retain the 88% of battery capacity as compared to new . my OnePlus is approx 1.5 years old !.
is it ok that I am seeing this or do I need to replace the battery
suggest me how to extend battery life

yeah ! but that 12% battery state loss is a thing or not ?

there is 12% battery loss as compared to the new one so.. what I mean to say is that is it ok that I am seeing a 12% loss .

    oh come...
    my OnePlus 3 has a battery of 86% now..come on...this is normal...
you don’t have a new device anymore....

I don’t care about SOT. SOT depends on your usage, etc, why do you think a SOT is a good indicator? why?
You play games - one of the worst optimized and programmed games: PUBG -, so come on...

I wouldn't mind being that you had no issues at all with the battery life on your device, until you ran the diagnostic tool and could put a quantifiable number on your battery health.

I've used the tool myself on my 6t and it gives a figure of 89% battery health. Even if the figure it was giving me was quite a bit lower, it would not bother me in the slightest. Firstly, my device easily gets me through the day without any issue with battery life, and secondly you have to realise that the device is 18 months old and batteries degrade over time (even if you never used the device).

My advice would be ignore the number, just make sure you optimise your device according to your needs and enjoy. 🙂

No it was not like that I am facing a battery loss quite frequent like when I use wifi the battery drop of 1 % runs only for 3.5 or sometime 3 minutes and earlier it was giving 5 minutes I don't know what's the reason same like that when I watch a video the battery drop of 1% runs only 8mints, earlier it was 10 minutes...
that's why I run a diagnostic tool for checking is the battery is at peak performance or not

even when I watch I video or do less intensive task.
like surfing or something like that on wifi the battery drop is quite more as compared to my previous experience.. 1% drop in battery run only 3.5 minutes
earlier it was giviy me 5 minutes

It's impossible to quantify why a battery would drop 1%,it may be the video compression, or the brightness, maybe the fact that one video was darker than another. Then was it MP4 or some other format.

Could also be the app running the video.

To properly quantify battery life. Use the phone over time, when it gets to less than 50% preferably lower. Check your battery stats to see how your Screen On time and which apps are using more battery.

Here is an example of my current battery stats to make the comparison. Post yours here when you go from 100% down to below 50% and the info will point to any anomalies.
