Pop-up camera for the win! The huge screen without the camera was the thing that conviced me to buy the 7 pro. It's fantastic!

pop up camera is the win for me.
fingerprint sensor this fast sums up the slow (little) face unlock and full screen with no interruption is definately a win win choice. [e]1f64f[/e]

I'll prefer Pop-up camera over Hole punch anyday. I personally feel it's better because It gives a full clean display with no notch/punch hole and doesn't obstructs in the viewing experience and it's also better from security point of view.. I don't need that face unlock, fingerprint scanner is fast enough and much secure than face unlock.

IMO It's actually a downgrade from OP 7 Pro and this is one of the main reason for me to not upgrade unless they get rid of this punch hole. I don't like any kind of interruptions on the display whether it's small or big!!

Talking about durability/longetivity, I haven't seen a case till now where Pop-Up camera stopped working no matter which brand it is, so i don't think durability is a issue here.. I don't use front camera that often so it's not a big deal here either!

Also, how does this Hole punch relate to the Pocket Mode?

Who likes a hole or dead pixel destroying a stunning display? Punch hole is nothing but the same thing.

For me I would prefer pop up camera then no front camera at all then may be a very thin bezel with the front camera. Punch hole or notch is a deal breaker for me so not an option.

I understand in display camera is probably not ready yet but I'm surprised why major phone companies are not using the backside as an additional display (low resolution). Any selfie shooter can just flip the phone to take the shot you don't even need an additional selfie camera to compensate the cost for an additional secondary display.

I prefer notch over holepunch, popup over notch.

I have OCD and having the camera disconnected from the screen border bugs me alot so I cannot stand the holepunch.

The notch doesn't bother me as long as it's more circular than it is square good examples include OnePlus 7, OnePlus 6t; bad examples include Apple iPhone 11, Google pixel 3.

The popup doesn't bother me in the slightest, even if it is off to the side a bit I just find that more interesting to look at and it doesn't interrupt my viewing experience.
