This is after the update on Oxygen OS 11.0.0.2.
Lower Geekbench Scores and Antutu records for the Snapdragon 855+ chipset.
Comment if you would like to see more benchmarks.

I think they amount to something. Benchmark is the way to compare the performance of processor. Unless the algorithm is rigged to show higher number for certain smartphone.

Certainly agreed. There are cases as you mentioned, manufacturer rigged the device to specifically responding better to certain execution if not all.

Those number only making consumer feel better, imho. Furthermore, everyone uses their device differently, it's difficult to apply those benchmark on real life usage.

Again, there are spectrum of people would die for those number. 😜

Don't get me wrong, am not taking this on you rather explaining my view on these benchmarks.
Example, now am on OOS11. Am experiencing WiFi disconnecting issue, which to me rather unbelievable. Understand there are nothing perfect. While waiting for 11.0.0.2, there also reports stated where the issue remained.
Even if those benchmark numbers fly past Mars, am still holding a device with operational issues, and those number can never correct the WiFi issue am facing now.
Optimization on the other hand, are far more important
Am replying to OP is because he asking 'want to see more', so just to keep him occupy thus saying yes to him. Still did not see anything else coming from him. 🤣
    Cheers, stay safe.

Yes these numbers are specifically for processor performing some cryptographic analysis and processing floating point number. Meanwhile I do agree that Bug less and optimized software are important and in daily life these numbers are irrelevant. A11 is soo buggy update. Let's hope they rectify the issue soon.

Even Geekbench isn't letting me feel happy about the numbers 😬...
Just posted for the sake of situation after the update, even someone posted Antutu at 567k on Android 10 built.
    But I agree with you a 100%!
    Optimizations over Benchmarks, anyday!

Shut the f up people like you don't realise planned obsolescence is ruining the consumers and making more profits to the companies. The 855+ chipset is more than capable to provide good performance on the 7t but the update is made the phone choppy and laggy and worsened the battery life.
