Bepak tempered glass protector: change in cutout design

Hey.. The screen protector IS legit. It's definitely glass from what I can tell. Applies flawlessly, no hassles (provided you follow steps.) Being slightly klutzy I screwed my application up a bit.. but that was my fault.

But as of now I'd say go with the OPO original accessory (whatever original means) Tempered Glass screen protector available on amazon india for 399. It's the cheapest and I'm sure well worth its price. I only say that because I don't feel the 300 rs more on other temp. glass stuff is justified.

As of now all is well with the Bepak that's on my screen.

HOKO is a plastic screen protector. It may prevent scratches but will not protect your One if you drop it. That's why most folks are going with tempered glass protectors. Yes, they cost a bit more but it beats having to pay a bomb to replace a broken phone screen.

@ OP: Does the new version of the bepak retain the 2.5D rounded edges or not?

Yes, it does. Or at least it did in October. I don't know if there have been any other product changes later.

Grubert I just received my Bepak screen protector. It doesnt feel anything like glass.Rather like a thicker plasticy film. Also I can see scratches on either side.So I am not sure if they are on the film that protects the glue side or on the touch side of the protector.

Update:I am convinced its not original. The film does not even line up with the phone.I line up the top cut outs the bottom shifts. The cutouts seem to be offset so the film doesn't align.
The protector does not even line up with the phone screen.Definitely a fake.
The shocking bit is that the code comes up as authentic on the bepak website.Looks like they have figured out how to generate the code(keygen like the ones used on software)

    Purchased on Amazon.in

+1 for bepak temepered glass. It has a longer cutout, but its quite good. No loss of sensitivity and has a premium feel to it.I would recommend the same.

Yes have initiated the refund a second time around. Can you tell me how is a tempered glass screen protector different from a thick plastic one?The product I received seemed more plastic than glass.Frankly all plastic thicker ofcourse. How can we correctly identify the tempered glass product. This fake sub par one checked out as authentic on the Bepak website.

Try to scratch it with your keys. If it does scratch, then it's plastic.

Note that a thin sheet of glass can be flexible but that doesn't mean it's plastic.

Maybe it's not that it's fake, only defective.

I have an Ultimate Shield tempered glass protector on my OPO which literally only has the cut out for the earpiece grille. The proximity and ambient light sensors still work absolutely fine as does the front facing camera!
I don't understand why they do that huge ugly cut out on others, seems unnecessary...

@keith.n I bought it from ebay from THE SELLER allphoneunlock . I still didn't applied it. There is much visibil gaps when it aligned two sides correctly, and the other 2 sides have clear gaps. also there are too many finger prints . I draw a line with compass , and its does not get any scratches.
