To mobile gamerssss, i need some quick recommendations to which kernal and rom that can help to boost this Oneplus 3 gaming performance. Somehow i dont feel like im using a snapdragon 820, i play some games but it just doesnt seem like it has achieved the full capability. Hope you guya can help a brother out.
If you have any other tweaks or suggestion that can help boost performance, fire away at me too, thanks!
    Sincerely, a fed up guy.

thanks bro, cant wait for ur recommendation, im playing a game called glory of the kings, its something like mobile legends but better graphic demands, but its stuttering sometimes
i tried doing non root tweaks like, force 4x Msaa and other developer options, but i dont see satisfying changes, im not sure whether switching from my ext4 to f2fs will help or not, or changing the background apps to 42 as stated by xda to improve memory management, pls shine some light to me, im new

He didn't mention anything about lag. He just doesn't feel SD820 performs to its full potential. Both are quite different IMO.

Converting from ext4 to f2fs will help with launch speeds but not in gaming performance not counting the launch. Does your game involve a lot of auto saves? It might impact a little then.

Sup Fed up guy, the OnePlus 3 is a great gaming device, you can find my "OnePlus Recommend" thread: OnePlus 3 - A Gamer's review.

The best optimizated ROM for OP3 is the OxygenOS Open Beta 19, it's totally buttery performance, as for gaming it doesn't need a fast OS, it needs a nice optimization, hence I also recommend Resurrection Remix, it's totally high-end custom ROM. You can also chose between different performance modes such as "Power Saving, Efficiency, Balanced, Quick, Performance". The choice is yours.

For the Kernal, ditch the stock and install Elemantal X, when you install chose "Over Clock" on Little/Big Culster. And you should be good to go, over clocking means it's not limited to it's full potential, which is 1.5 GZ, you can clock it up to 1.7 which is the safest, after reach 1.7 it might drain battery.

    That should cut it,

    Sincerely,
    DEDSEC,
Self proclaimed head of gaming division,
    OnePlus community.

Converting to f2fs will definitely improve launch speeds. Other than that, using a custom kernel and testing with different CPU governors should give you the best performance. I don't suggest over clocking as SD820 in the OP3 is pretty much maxed out.

The main performance boost between OnePlus 3 and 3T is it's default file system, install TWRP>Wipe>Advanced Wipe>System> Repair Filesystem> Change Format (or something like that>f2fs.

This will definitely help boost your phone.

    PS: Also install SSD boost.
