I'm looking to buy VR headset for OPX but seems to me all the affordable ones are made with 5.5+ inch devices in mind.

Has anyone tried any VR headsets with OPX and have a recommendation?

Try out anything based on Google Cardboard.

Not a big loss if it doesn't work out.

Hopefully, but I think I'm just one in the million(s) :p
... and I believe it's the curiosity for trying it once then I'm sure it can give me headache.
So I don't think I will be using it consistently.

i ordered a shinecom vr set with a bluetooth controller

    takes 3.5 to 6 in

this was following looking at retrospect on youtube

2nd best, the one he likes freefly costs double.

    I paid 15gbp ie about 22usd

more than planned, but thought without a button a controller would be needed and being enclosed all round and adjustable made sense.

I have a VR Box 2.0, but I bought it without testing or gathering information. You can get it with or without a BT controller, most apps require an input method and without a bluetooth controller you can't do anything. My personal opinion is that VR Box has a crappy Field of View, it feels like watching through a tube, my guess is that is at best 75 degrees, it may also be that the OPX has a 5 inch display, the image is good and clear but because it is only 1080p it stil has a screen door efect. My advice is to go ahead and buy the cheapest you can find, the Homido is suposed to be the best one, but you will get bored of it fast, VR drains the phone realy fast.

Was looking at getting VR box until saw Retrospect on YouTube review

Google daydream VR perhaps makes the lifespan of whatever we buy short.
