Has anyone else noticed a black crush issue on their OP7T Pro?
especially noticable on dark/gradient wallpapers or dark videos
It is really sad because otherwise the device is perfect :/
It is very bad and needs to be fixed with a software update , I know this is possible because the S9 had the same issue and it was fixed via software .

You mean like "blackness" levels of things?
I've noticed not all videos and wallpapers do not specifically have "True Black" levels and that only has to do with the content not the device.

Remember content is only good as the producer of the video and or photo, you may get visual artifacts like some "dark scenes" emitting backlight in our Amoled screens.

It's more like this (this is not my device though), and the quality of the content doesn't necessarily matter because on my previous device it does not occur on the same content

No unfortunately it's not, on my other phone the image is perfectly fine but here it isn't , so either it's a software issue or hardware related 😬

"Does not apply to some displays" don't think you understand I'm agreeing with you.
"bad content doesn't work on a qualified display That can."

Does the exact same wallpaper on the other devices work properly?
Then it's the display not compatible with the wallpaper content... Which means the wallpaper isn't compatible on device... It's not that the "device needs to change to fit all the content you want" simply make a wallpaper that works for your device plain and simple... I have plenty of perfect "true black" wallpapers that work on this display... Along with that if you find the right video content That doesn't use outdated versions of "True Black" and give you that "black crush effect"... Videos work too.

I did try some wall paper from the Google app wallpapers and got same results, it's the wall paper that is low resolution. I can't recommend this app as it does not provide anything over stock app and it gathering information and going to Google. It takes unnecessary resources. Crappy app.

If u want nice wallpaper then you can create great screen shots from 1440p movie content. Eg utube.
    With great black and colors.
