Bluetooth Calling

Hello, I've created a new thread for this issue only because I have not found answers after searching the forum. Basically, I absolutely cant seem to get bluetooth calling to work on my Oneplus 3T. It stopped working recently but I'm not sure if it happened just after the most recent update. I'm able to connect to the bluetooth devices but can only seem to stream music. As soon as I try making or receiving calls, audio shuts off. I have tried a lot of fixes that I have found online including wiping cache and restarting the phone, toggling codec settings but nothing seems to work. Is this an issue faced by others? This is a very helpful feature and I would be grateful if somebody could help me get it to work on this otherwise fantastic device!

    Thanks & regards

Hi both, thank you for responding. Just bumping the thread again. It's a real shame that such a prevalent issue gets no response even from one plus developers! This is a feature taken for granted on other handsets and a very convenient one too.

Could it be because of an incompatible bluetooth device? I can use my bullets wireless 2 to make and receive calls without any problems. Im on Oxygenos 9.0.4.

Does it happen with other Bluetooth devices too or just your car?

This is a very common problem. I and many others with whom I talked in different forums have the same problem. With any bluetooth devices, on different firmware: 5.0.8, 9.0.4 and 9.0.5. life hacks do not help. People ask questions in support of Oneplus, but there is no answer. It seems that Oneplus themselves do not know what they did. Some people advise changing your phone and forget about Oneplus.
It’s sad. Good luck to all.

Thanks for bumping the thread guys and for participating. It's a real shame that the 3t is such a great piece , clearly has potential to be a top notch piece for years to come but this one issue is a real downer!!

Now it is not clear what to expect from Oneplus. If only they answered the questions. Ears on the defensive.

actually i don't remember it perfectly. I search it on youtube and follow the procedure.

I think i download the 5.0.8 file (around 1.58GB) from oneplus official site then that file copy in root folder of mobile then gone to recovery mode and then install that file nd also wipe it. (it will erase all your mobile data)

after three months of experimenting, I put the sound into the bluetooth call
I don't know exactly how the problem was fixed
    I did the following:
cancel all connected devices (phone reset in the vehicle)
    force stop bluetooth
    delete storage bluetooth
    installation of magisk modules
    - APTX for Android Oreo & Pie
    - Bluetooth stack audio bitrate changer for SBC + aptX & aptX-HD enabler
reboot to safe mode - change AVRCP to 1.3
reboot to safe mode - change AVRCP to 1.5
reboot to safe mode - change AVRCP to 1.6
reboot to safe mode - change AVRCP to 1.4
    pairing device
    functional sound :D
without guarantee that it will work with others ;)

Hi Pejitsu, thank you for this solution but I am struggling to understand. Where can I download these programs and does it require root access?
