Bluetooth in the car

I recently bought a OnePlus 3T coming from a OnePlus One
with my OnePlus One when I was on a call before entering the car it will hand off the call automatically to the car speakers and microphone but with the OnePlus 3T it will connect but not hand off, I have to select phone earphone or speakers and then back to Bluetooth before it effectively hands it off to the car.

    Anyone has experienced this?

Nope. Mine goes straight to Bluetooth and my car speakers as soon as I start my car, and then back to the phone when I turn the car off. Maybe a Bluetooth setting or something in your car?

My connects fine but, most times the volume is so low with the Bluetooth that I have to take it off and use it as a handheld

I immediately assumed it was the phone since my OPO was just fine. Anyway, thx for your inputs, I the hope to find a fix

Even I have to manually connect it at times, not always. But other than that, I have another issue. On Bluetooth, the call quality drops drastically, it sounds as if you are trying to talk under water. And this has happened only after switching to Nougat! Call quality was fine in Marshmallow.

Also, did a factory reset but the issue persists. Additionally, I even tried connecting my friends phone, they seem to work fine!

I have an issue with a 16 plate 3 series. Since the Nougat update it connects most of the time but every 3 or 4 times it just wont connect. I have the remove the device in the iDrive system and then pair it again.

Had a issue with my Nexus 6p when it was updated to 7.0 also. Bluetooth keep disconnecting randomly, was massively annoying. It was eventully fixed with the latest patch however my 3T delivered shortly after. Very annoying to again have bluetooth issue after the nougat update.
