How to fix OnePlus 5 Bluetooth issues:

    Power on your OnePlus 5

    Open the app icon

    Tap on settings

    Select Application Manager

You can display all tabs by swiping in either direction

    Tap on Bluetooth

    Select to stop it forcefully

Next go ahead and clear the cache

    Tap clear the Bluetooth data

    Tap on Ok

    Now restart your OnePlus 5

How to fix OnePlus 5 Bluetooth issues:

If you’re not able to fix the OnePlus 5 Bluetooth problems with the instructions from above, we recommend that you either put the phone into recovery mode or wipe cache partition.

This should help you fix your bluetooth issue.

I made both steps, independently of each other. It only changed so much that it detects all the devices, shows them but does not want to connect them. There is also no confirmation of pin / passkey

Hi, I have tried following your guide, but I fail at the second instruction 'Open the app icon'. What 'app icon'? I am unsure what you mean. Can you clarify this for me please. I am on Android 7.1.1 and OxygenOS 4.5.10. Thanks for your help. Roy

Some cars (like my Nissan Pathfinder) will only connect to phone, not media. This is nothing to do with the phone.

On the other hand, something that helped me with bad connections was to clear BT share data. Settings>Apps>...>Show System Apps>Bluetooth Share>Force Stop/Clear Data.

After that, remove the pairing both on phone and car, and connect again. Worked on my wife's Volvo XC60 and OP5.

It is called "Apps", which you can find in Personal. Then "List applications" Then the 3 buttons in righthand top corner. Select System apps. Bluetooth. Storage. Clear cache.

Did you upgrade to Oreo. A lot of people, including myself, are having major issues with Bluetooth after the update.
