I'm having exactly the same problem on my oneplus5, running OxygenOS 5.1.5.

Clearing the Bluetooth app cache, or resetting network connections provides a temporary fix, but the problem always returns.

    Hi Moderators / Tech Guru's,

We are facing this Bluetooth connection issue from long. Can anyone of you please look into this and help us to resolve this issue!!

Or shall we consider that OnePlus support has stopped listening their users issues after OS upgrade!

I too faced a similar issue and reported the bug. OnePlus will apparently fix this in the next update. Meanwhile as a workaround go to settings>Location>(3dots)>scanning>disable bluetooth scanning. This could solve the problem
