The Bluetooth is not working after the 8.0 update in the oneplus 3. The bluetooth doesn't scan the available devices. The problem came up just after the android 8.0 (Oreo) update. Please provide a solution to this problem
    Thank you.

If you have updated via OTA without clearing cache then this is the first issue you are facing.. There will be more in the future due to compatibility issues.

To avoid all such things you should now have to try clearing the cache and if it does not work then you have to clear the system as well. And start fresh.

Where is the advice to do this? Hard reset is a real pain. It should never be the first advice. Obviously, a hard reset will work but an easier option would be far preferable.

Many advisable things has something underlined..which mostly don't understand. Its always preferable to clean flash any major update. Oreo is a totally new platform for obvious reasons. OTA update is not advisable but its not mentioned as most of the users are not aware of this thing and can cause an outburst for this. That's why OEM's don't call it as an advisable thing.

My issue, is that if I turned Bluetooth off with the toggle, I couldn't turn it back on!?

Tried lots of fixes, and the only one that appeared to work was boot into safe mode, turn on Bluetooth (test it), for me this worked and proved that it is a software issue related to a third party app. Then rebooted as normal and my Bluetooth is back on. I'll post back if I have any further issues.

Edit* This didn't solve it. Lasted about 10 mins before I lost it again. I then went through and deleted any apps that I really didn't need, starting with any of installed recently, rebooted and hey presto, solid Bluetooth connection for about 2hrs now. Why can't they just get this sh*t right in the first place.

Yes I did ... I flashed the stock rom as well to see if it's oreo which is disturbing bluetooth but now it doesn't even works on marshmallow, neither on nougat nor on oreo.. I seriously don't get what suddenly caused this issue
