I had the infamous bootloop issue I read a lot of the fixes here but could not even get my computer to see the phone. I found a local shop that took the time to read the forum and root the phone and reinstall CM11. I am in Knoxville TN USA if anyone in the southeast USA is having the issue I can email you number of the shop. Their prices were reasonable.

I checked the forum and could not get it fixed part of the problem is that moist of the tech types here are not very good with their social skills and between ever usefull post are several of people being obnoxious because the est of us who are not supernerds cant understand what you guys are saying, SO I hired a professional and he fixed it. I get it most of you guys can root a phone it makes you feel superior that some of us dont know how to yet.

I am glad you resolved your issue and I hope it did not cost you the life of your first born or something j/k I hope it didn't cost too much as it really is like a 20 min fix at most

It did not take him long tobfix it but it took a few days for him to lean about the OPO he only charged emdor 2 of the many hours he worked. I think I can figure it out given time but not sure this forum is the right place for someone new to rooting phones to learn. Many of the post assume you know at least a little about rooting a phone and a few of the posters can be rude when your having trouble. I am going to root an old tablet I have to learn it.

I stop at the point it says it erase all your data.
Really I have no way to restore, data and apps.

I just hope a) I never get a boot loop b) It is solved forever in a future over the air update.

Why don't you backup? Do you not secure your PC data either?

You know I don't even have a proper PC at the moment, I have a chrome book that is great for just surfing the web and an old netbook running peppermint Linux. A couple of years ago my G5 Mac died and never replaced it. I do most everything on my phones and tablets now.

My computer at home I use to browse the internet the hard drive crashes buy another hard drive or maybe think about a new laptop never back it up.

I know of no way to back up and restore and non-root stock Android Device. Solutions like Titanium backup are the only solutions that let you back up all apps and data but you need to be rooted first.

I never plan on rooting because a) it means unlocking your bootloader (erase data) b) I worried about the authentication managers, streaming and banks apps.

Why worry and install a fix to an issue I do not have or may never have.
