Bought new 7t pro with 96% healthy battery via OnePlus 7T Pro

  1. Joseph Hadder , via OnePlus 7T Pro , Oct 3, 2020 :
    Hi,
I've recently bought what is supposed to be a new oneplus 7t pro from amazon.ae, and the onpluse diagnostic app is telling me that my battery is 96% healthy, os that normal or this means that the device was actually used before ?
Also it is a single sim, not a dual one.

    Thanks.

Check the date of manufacture of the device, it is a common misconception that a new device will always come with 100% battery capacity. Battery degradation occurs even when the device is not in active use.

As you have purchased an older model there is a chance that it was manufactured a year ago and the battery for it was manufactured a few months prior to assembly. If a battery is left unused for over a year it is very much possible for it's health to degrade to a certain extent.

Check the manufacturing date of your device.. batteries tend to degrade over time even when not in use. 96% won't worry me that much.

I would suggest checking here to see if they have info about your device. While not 100% accurate. It would at least give you some idea.

My new 7T Pro was manufactured in July 2020. I use it the 3rd day now and diagnostic app shows 93%. Just wait until you charged/discharged the phone a couple times.

It doesn't tell you when it was produced, it only tells you when the model release was and if it's sold by OnePlus, what makes you think it's single Sim and not dual?
