omg here we go againnnnnnnnnnnnnn. its a brick end of story. oneplus is one of the very few phones that can recover from it.

I'll have to get the skinny from my 13 year old, he's the resident geek & technical-know-it-all around here, these days

I have my OnePlus bricked right now, and don't know what else to try to unbrick it for now...
Color OS method doesn't work. Device only recognized as a QHSUSB_bulk.
attempt to use MSMTool disconnect the device.
Probably you as an unbrick guru can propose something new for me ? )

Quite frankly, if you could recover it with QHUSB, it's a soft brick. No hardware was damaged (the most strict definition of a hard brick), nor did you ever have to use JTAG.

Want to hard brick your OPO? Place it under a car and run over it. Then nobody can argue with you that you hard bricked it.

However, thanks for your insights. They will definitely prove useful to someone who ends up wiping they shouldn't be.

It's all fine and dandy as long as no USB jig or test pointing is needed.
