    Horsault, Jul 22, 2019 :
    1. Did your device come with marks of use?
    No?
So that's not a manufacuring defect.

    2. Do a lot of users have same cosmetic damage?
    No?
So this is coming from the way you're using your device.

In all cases, this is the consequence of your using your device, not from manufacturing defect, so it won't be covered by warranty.
Of course you can ask for paid repair.

To me, it doesn't look like it's peeling away. Comparing with my OnePlus 6, I feel the rubber strip is protruding a bit more around the corners to prevent damage in case of a fall, as that is where most phones get damaged the most, in case of a fall along the frame.
