    People and their rumor train...
    Don't buy it now...
Wait for the next gen model...
If they fix the invented display... And make it normal again..
    Don't think twice before buying...
If not... Compare the competition and make a smart choice...

One Plus makes phones with great on paper specs, lousy Chinese build quality that you would normally expect to find on much cheaper phones, poor support and a buggy operating system that rarely installs OTA updates without creating problems. Unless you are into custom flashing or actually want a high maintenance phone with bargain basement build quality you should not buy any phone from One Plus. I guarantee that if you aren't used to custom ROMs and manually clearing the system cache/reflashing/factory resetting you will have serious issues with any One Plus phone because OOS is much closer to a custom ROM than an actual stock operating system. 80% of the posts on this support thread are from people who don't know how to deal with software problems caused by OOS, which is the custom build of Android One Plus uses.

but its very bad that after few months introduce new model. at least they should wait a year approximate. if they keep on doing this it will effect Sales.

Are you serious? Do you own a OnePlus 5? All the ota's give me no problems at all. The operating system ( oxygen os) is one of the best out there. I owned a Samsung s8 and now a OnePlus 5, I can tell you one thing. Oxygen is is so much better and smoother, not full of bloatware and much more stable. And about the build quality? You haven't feel/test a OnePlus 5 or you not so full of sh°t.
Every smartphone have pros and cons but what you Describes isn't true.

Aah come on: the camera is wonky, outside screen visibility is poor in sunny conditions, the speakers aren`t great and Google security updates are not up to par. No need for fanboyism, stick with the facts please ;)

Camera need some updates but isn't bad at all. Outside visibility is good enough for me.
Speakers are same or maybe little bit better than a s8.
With the Google security update? Yes OnePlus need to be quicker than this. We have September now.
I'm not a fanboy at all but what @G_Joe_Smart_Ltmx describes about build quality and so on is so not true and you know it

The build quality is good, its the software across the board that is the main issue. Its not fully optimized for the hardware and what bothers me most is that OP doesn`t fix it.

I agree with you that the camera software is not take the full potential of the camera hardware. Let's hope OnePlus is busy with a update for the camera.
