Google (read CIA, CSIS, NSA, FBI etc) can and will use the information against me far more effectively than a Chinese company (read Chinese government.)

I'm not saying you should trust random Chinese companies (or their govt), just that if you have a smart phone, you likely don't have any privacy.

Just because people believed on your product one plus one and that's why its well know company.. all credit goes to one plus one holders but instead of beening loyal to them you have been doing injustice to them.. cyanogen os has shut down.. no upgradation to oxygen os for one plus users.. such customer non-senstive people.. SHAME !!

I forgot my phone and got to use the Honor10 for 2 days.
I was glad to be reunited with my 3 year old oneplusX.
I personally dislike that a phone needs time to get to understand you and learn how you think, before functioning properly.
that's more like coding than it is AI.

Yes if you want better camera and design go for honor 10 ! ... Oneplus Doesnt give camera updates .. i am using oneplus 5 and i have recieve about 10 ota updates till now ... not a single ota updates stated an improvement in camera ... Honor 10 uses camera by AI and they improve thier camera by providing ota updates

That's how it always in bro.
When I first got the oneplus 5t I was annoyed by the lack of some functions but you get used to it over time.

Well I don't think we can compare the 2 phones.

Now that the phone is released and we know the pricing.

The oneplus 6 is 519 euros (cheapest model) and the honor 10 is 399 euros.

    That's almost 30% more.

So I really wouldn't compare the phones. I'm sure the honor 10 is a good phone for 399 euros and the oneplus is a great phone for. 519 euros.

You just get whatever meets your budget and needs (service centre, warranty etc). That's all.

year 2018 still a phone with 1080 screen only, no real water resistant, warranty not cover damage by water, no wireless charging.
    But much more expensive

Name me one brand, that covers water damage via warranty. Because there is none. Because none is water resistent, all the IP ratings certify the higher chance of surviving a fall into water, but this doesn't mean you still have warranty.

    P.S.
Even IP Tests are just done in lab conditions with destillated water.

in OP's defense, all those quirks are made with price cuts in mind.
the lack of wireless charging is more of an obtuse, arrogant decision since they kept mentioning dash charging when they talked about it.
maybe in the 6t, if that ever comes out

Just got my OP6 today and transferring account stuff. Here's a few observations based on my own experience:
    • Unless you're using the OP6 for VR, I've noticed that 1080p is enough for me. Your eye can only resolve so much pixel density at a distance of 20cm. If I want to experience VR, I'll use a Rift.
    • The OP6 has been dunked and survived. It'll survive a drop in your toilet, assuming you don't leave it in there for half an hour (yuck). If you want to take an underwater picture at the beach, you can do that, assuming sand ingress isn't an issue. IP67 is 1m. IP68 > 1m. 30 minutes. Again, practically, there's very little functional difference to me.
    • Wireless charging is slower by at least a factor of 2 and makes the phone slightly heavier. I'd much prefer to plug it in. My preference, and I totally understand those who want the feature.

I doubt being shower proof etc implies OP are happy for you to dunk your phone in sea water for even a few seconds! Although although who'd want to do that anyway with an expensive smartphone!!
