Iam using this connector, not purchased online, however got it from a shop. This is a local connector and not an official.
The problem is when ever I connect it to the phone, the phone starts malfunctioning. It automatically mutes the music. Is this the common problem with local connector? and if I use it on regular basis, will this cause and issue to the port as well as the cell phone?
    Kindly help.

    Thanks in advance.

The problem with those USB dongles is that not all are compatible with all phones, especially when you get to the cheaper ones. OnePlus really should have provided one in the box, at least with the Pro. I've basically switched to wireless completely but can still conceive of those instances where I might need wired.

The removal of the jack and failure to include a dongle will also be the reasons I won't buy OnePlus's wireless earphones. So they don't benefit from their decisions. I'll stick to third-party brands.

The official one is really cheap if purchased from Ali-express. I recommend purchasing one through Ali-express if you absolutely need one. Bluetooth works way better in my honest opinion.

Thanks for your prompt response. Already have two wired earphones, thus not have plans to buy an wireless one soon.
