Call Quality Issue

Interesting. I've been getting complaints about the quality of my phone over the last 4-5 months and was debating on doing a factory wipe but realized that I had recently done this based on another issue related to tap & pay. Fortunately for me disabling 'ok google' rectified the problem for me.

FWIW, I have the same ROM as you.

Hope you find a fix for your issue soon.

    I've had this same problem.

The phone should function as a phone, and we shouldn't have to disable Google Now for it to work.

    Agreed.
I've put up with a few issues with my phone along the way but not being able to talk on it like a regular phone has done it for me. I'm done with this phone and OnePlus in general.

    "ONE PLUS X"
The quality of call on sound & Mic both are poor. every call i get a instant reply from the other end asking me to speak louder & sometimes i cant even listen their voice clearly. following to this i tired with changing the sim and changing the mobile operator & the same sim tested with other device but it didnt helped. Replaced the mobile device though no help.

By the way, After device restart looks good for few hours only it cannot be used everytime.

This makes me to follow a new style of handling mobile like stone age :) "ONE PLUS X"

Does this support 4G?? someimes on lesser frequency it feels better!

This has to be fixed !!!

I've got exactly the same problem. I can hear the person on the call but they complain constantly about not being able to hear me properly. Voice keeps cutting out etc.

I raised a support case on 15th December and support have not responded to me!!! That's pretty poor customer service. I'm getting very frustrated.

To make the mic louder you need root. If your rooted head over to google play store and download any file explorer. Go to the etc folder then find mixerpaths scroll all the way down and slowly scroll up and find -analog input devices- then under that section look for the three mics and change the values. Ik its hard to understand what I'm saying. But you should YouTube to google what km saying they have pictures and vids to show u and explain it better.

If you are rooted, find this: Root/System/etc/mixer_paths.xml
And change value to this: "RX1 Digital Volume" value="95"

    Analog output devices --> <path name="ear"> <ctl name="RX1 MIX1 INP1" value="RX1" /> <ctl name="CLASS_H_DSM MUX" value="DSM_HPHL_RX1" /> <ctl name="RX1 Digital Volume" value="90" /> <ctl name="EAR PA Gain" value="POS_6_DB" /> <ctl name="DAC1 Switch" value="1" /> </path>

My one plus one device constantly reboots by itself. I tried to reset the phone to the default settings, but it didn't fix the problem. Any solution?

Disable OK Google that is the main culprit. I had the same problem with my OPO and had to disable OK Google and calls were normal after that. I haven't experienced this problem on my OPX even with OK Google switched on.

    Maybe this will help:
Switch to 3G mode if you are on 2G or LTE . You can do this via going intosettings>>network>>preferred network type >> and select 3G. (copy and pasted)

If try a custom rom. If your already on one either downgrade or upgrade it. If you can't do that then switch the rom to another one. For lolipop I recommend Pac man rom. For marshmallow idk yet but tuga power seems to be good

I've always been an early adopter and was an early Oppo user, before One Plus. But, working 6 day weeks and aging, I really just want things to work.

In my case it seems to be a hardware issue with microphones not working. OnePlus one support is horrible. They said they'll get back to me with an RMA, and still have not.
