Well you don't have to use it, it's only an optional feature which has to be turned on for it to work.

looking forward to it... spam calls are very common and lot of rackets occur daily (you just have to read our newspapers) with people being duped of money..
identification of caller (probably based on area codes?), ability to block further calls and sometimes even messages, would be a boon..
    thanks..

How is it optional?? It will be laid dormant in other countries, how do we know what it is or isn't doing or who it's sending data to. .
This isn't the first time oneplus has tried to screw us privacy wise this is the third or fourth time now over the years.

I don't know, if read newspaper articles about a black market where carriers sell user numbers for free or something, but I might be wrong I guess.

Swiggy uses some sort of VoIP Calls AFAIK, As I've experienced Issue with them like no sound from them & Truecaller showing the Number from Delhi or Ahmedabad.
But, Yeah If they tagged it as " Fraud " Swiggy Boys will have trouble finding Houses ! hehe

As I said mate I don't live in India but that sort of action wouldn't go well in Europe or the UK, nor will this... But by the same token I have seen many Indians leaving their full names, addresses and telephone numbers, not only theirs but their friends too posted here by them lol so privacy obviously isn't important to a lot of people there your one of the few..
