    * Install an external video application like Filmic Pro
    * Make a recording in low light (i.e. indoors with not too many lights turned on, doesn't have to be as dark as candle light scene) with that App
    * Make the same recording in the same lighting with the default video app
    * Compare the recodrings

    According to Filmic Support it's due to the lack of Camera 2 API support.

    hopefully the dev will take a serious look on this issue, if u can't make other 3rd party apps work well with OP, then make your apps better

    1. Gimbal pairing support
    2. External mic option for video recordings

    Currently experiencing the same issue, the noise level is unbearable while using Filmic Pro under low light conditions and shots taken indoors as well. Aside from that, FPS is capped to 30fps only. Hoping that Oneplus would listen and look into these issues.

    Please open those Camera 2API settings to Filmic Pro and other developers, the noise levels in the recordings and missing higher frame rates are a real issue for many of us. Can you give us some feedback on the issue? Thank you.

    Same problem here. The noise level is quite high on underexposed parts of video shoot via filmic pro especially in log v2 mode. Please enable camera 2api for one plus 6.

    Come one Oneplus. What's the matter?

    Can you please give us an update, if this will ever be supported or not? Would be nice to know for future choice of phones. If the support is really turning out to be so frustratingly bad and silent, we might as well start looking for alternatives on the market :(

    +1 on that matter.

    Lack of Camera2 API full support makes that phone limited only to the native video app which simple is not that great.
