Camera Camera already in use by "Interface" since the Android 11 update

    Hello,

I'm facing a very annoying problem since the Android 11 update and OxygenOS that comes with it.

Very often, the phone tells me that the camera is already in use. This means I can't unlock the phone with my face, take pictures, use Snapchat.
In short, it's a huge handicap, especially since the camera is almost always "in use" and after a while I can access it...

I wanted to know which app was using the camera like this and it's "Interface", a native Android app.

I don't know what to do, I can't change the permissions of this app.

    Thanks in advance

I also have the same issue. Whenever I unlock my phone and try to switch on the camera, it only shows a black screen. Try to turn on the torch, it says camera in use. Really annoying as you have to wait for a while for it to work.

    I have the same issue.
Tried to force stop apps with camera access, run cleaners, hard restart phone, delete and reinstall some apps, I even tried factory reset. Nothing worked.
I have not found any specific way to successfully get it to work. It happens every other time I pick up my phone. Sometimes it works normally when using the phone for a while and sometimes I can get lucky if I just wait and pick it up again. But no specific solution. said:
Please create a fix for this. It's the most annoying software issue I've ever been affected by. And there has been plenty!
EDIT: I tried removing my face ID data and it seems to work so far!
EDIT 2: Removing Face ID data did NOT work. The issue still persists.

Same problem here. Obviously it's a bug. Anyone from OnePlus can rectify this issue? From this thread, this issue has been raised since September. Any solution?

Same here. Clearing Cache and Data of OnePlus Camera Service App and restarting temporarily fixes the issue for me but it happens again and again.

Same issue. "face unlock failed, the camera is being used by other apps". Also super buggy when opening camera or trying to record videos on camera and other apps. Pretty fed up with Oneplus brand at this point.

No solution, android 11 is causing it, OnePlus did it I intended, they released a buggy firmware, with no support anymore, no fixes are coming... Rollback to android 10 and stay on it
