Camera app doesn't work after the last update via OnePlus 9 Pro

  1. L1622550721409 , via OnePlus 9 Pro , Sep 26, 2021 :
I've just updated my OnePlus 9 Pro to the latest version, the camera app crashes every time I try to open it, I'm shocked, I'm having issues over issues every update.
I tried to clean the cache of the app itself and OnePlus Camera service, but still not working.
    How can I fix it!?

What is the camera app version?

Boot to safe mode and see if the camera app is working there or not.

    For booting in safe mode:
Press and hold the Power button.
On the screen, press and hold Power off.
Tap Ok to reboot into Safe mode.

The camera app version is 6.2.133

I tried to reboot in safe mood, but the camera was still dead.

It works with every third-party app.

    Any suggestion ?

I havent experienced any of these issues. i just got my Oneplus 9 Pro. try booting in safe mode and try the app from there and see if it works. in any case i would contact oneplus chat service they are 24/7 ready to help you out with a problem.

hmmm. i can imagine this is very frustrating. i would try to contact them by phone and explain that u already opened a repair request but with no result. try asking if they can manually request a repair for you. also i recommend you tell them to report this to the developers.

This is the second time my unit has to undergo a repair within two months, I guess it's faulty, can I get a new unit instead of getting the old one fixed ?

If your device is faulty and has no sign of damage i think its very possible you can get a new device. i am not entirely sure since i dont work at Oneplus. But from my experience in the past when i claimed my phone for a repair and i could prove it was new and undamaged i recieved a new device within weeks. this was not at Oneplus but i think this is a general standard for a tech company. my advice is really to have someone on the phone and not chat or e-mail, since this will increase your chance of succes
