Hopefully can get some insight or anybody that may know a lot more about the situation of the Camera app version that seems to never be updated with new firmware updates? Anybody from OnePlus have anything regarding this? This seemed to have been a common issue with the 6T as well. Just would like to know why this is left out of updates for TMO version. Just want to know why the (INT) version gets all the nice camera enhancements and new app updates but the (TMO) continues not to...

I know getting a response is a long shot but I felt it was worth a try.

It has definitely been said that updating the apk is not a great idea. Not sure why this is but I've seen it enough times to stay away from doing it.

I've had zero issues for two weeks. I've got alot of new features. You can also open your dialer to get wide angle video recording. *#*#1597#*#*. Open the camera after doing that and you'll see a hand with squiggly lines. That's it. press it and you'll have it. I'll get a screen shot real quick

I've done it quite a few times. wondering why it's not good to update the app. it's made a hell of a difference for me. maybe it's bc it's a beta software and if it updates you can't downgrade if the app messes up.

Try shooting in RAW in Pro Mode. The app will crash.

Found out the 3.2, and 3.4 versions are from the official 7 Pro builds while the 3.8 versions are from the Android Q beta builds.
