Camera Camera colors with artificial light and white balance Nov 26, 2019

    The three photos are all taken with the stock camera. The first is the one that has the real colors, before framing the scene I framed the white bed and the camera kept the correct color.

    In the second photo I have directly framed the scene and the camera has wrong the color making everything "orange".

    In the third picture I changed the camera between the 3 camera available a few times (wide, telephoto, zoom) and suddenly this Hulk green color appeared ...... embarrassing.

    Try updating to 3.8.77 via apkmirror and see if the issue persists.

    I tried to install the version 3.8.77 via apkmirror, the problem persists but the situation is clearer.
    The camera that generates the crazy green color is the 3x zoom.
    Even changing the camera, the green image remains, the solution is to close the camera and reopen the application.

    The oneplus 7 pro camera is a good camera, but these problems of color fidelity with artificial lights and white balance must be solved as soon as possible.

    Does anyone experience such problems? Does Oneplus recognize this behavior as a problem? If oneplus does not recognize it, I evaluate whether to return the product.

    This may be a hardware fault. I would try a factory data reset. If this continues to happen then I would look to get a warranty replacement.

    I have already done the restore and I have not solved the problem.
    It is not a hardware problem. if I use the gcam the color is correct, the color is correct even with the "stock" camera if I frame something white first. it is clearly a software problem. the 3x zoom works very well in any other situation, except if you see that lamp holder with that light. . it's embarrassing

    May not hardware.

    The Pixel 4 had this issue with white balance being messed up by the AI algorithms. However with no AI option exposed for the OnePlus 7 Pro, it's impossible to check.

    Well, maybe.

    Try the Pro mode and see where the WB goes for each of these scenarios.

    The problem can only be software.
    In the first scenario with the correct colors the WB is between 2700K and 3000K
    In the second scenario with the incorrect colors the WB is between 5000K and 5200K
    In the third scenario I can't know what the software does. If I switch to PRO mode, the camera software takes me to the second scenario with its incorrect WB.

    Sometimes I can eliminate the green by changing the framed subject, framing something white and switching to the wide-angle camera, then I go back to the main camera and move slowly towards the pink light on the bedside table.

    The hulk green is embarrassing, but is very embarrassing also the white balance that believes to frame a light of 5200K instead of 2700K

    Hi, I experienced the same problem. It seems the algorithm shows 1 color among RGB components. You lack the blue one. I've got it! :p

    Of course the pictures were taken in natural light.

    How and when will they solve this problem? it is clearly software, I use other smartphones with the same sony imx586 sensor and nobody has this problem that has the oneplus..... what an absurdity.

    All i can say: the developers are informed about it and are working on it. As usual, nobody knows when a next and better version of the app will be published.

    I am having too much of a blurrness on camera after i upgraded to 10.0.2.GM21BA. The camera is not the same as it was before the update, as if the resolution has gone down. I regret updating to Android 10. I wanna go back to the original Android 9 that came with the phone 😞😞
