I have same. With room light so no day light wb is going all over the place. Completely unusable. Also gcam affected because of the crappy API. It's really I laugh. Want make foto WB whole foto Orange of green whole room🤭🤭🤭🤢 ettc etc. It's fluctuations is per second. Pro mode you can fix it but processing worser. But no hdr. 😬😬🤯😵 Screenshot_20200327-002159.jpg Screenshot_20200327-002213.jpg Screenshot_20200327-002159.jpg

I have put config files for arnova gcam beta 7.3.
I think this is very good cam, also 4k60 auto focus working fine now. Much better 4k at night then stock. I have tried to adjust the faults in WB in config file, xml. The issue with night light does affect gcsm to, this is issue in software from OnePlus. The pictures are really good. Eg a square plate is square in OnePlus cam it is reshaped🤔😄😄😵

It seems clear to me that oneplus is not able to solve the problem, because several months have passed without solving anything. The sensor used by Oneplus is used by many other phones and nobody has this shameful problem, is it possible that nobody can give us an explanation? Can someone in Oneplus tell us how much longer we have to wait? All of this is embarrassing.

Yes they are working on it🤔🧐😁😘. Work around is to move sensor different angles and positions so it picks up the correct WB, but then still hit and miss. 🙃🙄👍

They are working on AWB issues and on other issues, but as always the new devices have priority one and older devices will follow. Regarding your special issue: In artificial light it s always more difficult to get a proper White Balance. Even expensive DSLR might fail here, (not as much as our phones, but check price for a DSLR Body and optic and compare it with the price of your Phone) Artificial light has different colour temperatures and sometimes the System gets tricked. That s why Oneplus gives us a pro Mode. I found some White Balance issues especially when using telephoto lens at the OnePlus 7 pro, and also a different colour reproduction, but this is Hardware related and you can not solve every Hardware flaw with software. Suggestion: File a bugreport with the community app, add a link to gdrive or Google Photos, where they can see sample pictures in full file size and quality, describe shooting and light situation as detailed as possible. Sometimes it s not possible to solve an issue, but they will try it. Don t forget: Since the OP8 series is officially announced, they re working on the next device (probably 8T?) and design discussions for the 9 series are most probably starting, too. Around 80-90% of the changes we asked at camera Events in Hamburg and later Amsterdam made it into later devices, or, hopefully, will be implemented one day. Demanding a "fast" Bugfix is not realistic. All changes have to be checked for quality and stability and this takes a lot of time until final release. If you want to participate in helping the developers, feel free to join the closed beta program, pretty sure there will be a post in the community forum when they need testers for the new 8 device series as they ve done in the last years.
Camera updates for older series like 5/5T and soon the 6/6T series are a bit unrealistic since this series already reached official end of life /will reach end of life soon. After two years Software developement stops and you ll get one more year with security updates, not more.

a good photgrapher is able to adopt to his device and it s weak points. a really good one is able to get an advantage of the weak points, using them in a creative way. i cannot see a "desaster" here, i even found AWB flaws in other ,more expensive, devices, including apple, huawei and samsung etc. So what?

    What are you talking about?
    Apple? Huawei? Samsung?
It does not seem to me appropriate to mention the best brands for photos / videos in relation to oneplus which does not do well.

The results of oneplus are embarrassing compared to these brands. Specifically, I am talking about a gigantic bug that has been present since the product was released on the market, it is shameful that after almost a year it has not been resolved. It's not a hardware problem, it's software.

I have used 3 different other phones with the same sensor (SONY IMX586), nobody has this problem, only Oneplus

I think u just try and make photo in artificial light, so light at evening from ur candles or what ever electric bulbs u have. Sensor gets completely disturbed, almost no way to take normal photo. See my picture.
This is over 6 months or longer. No issue with s10 plus snapdragon, mi 9t pro mi 9 , galaxy s9 ex. Oppo

If you d check my Postings in community here you ll find hundreds of pictures, shot in almost every condition, despite of under water pictures. As mentioned before--every device has its weak points. File a bugreport, as described, there s no thing more we can do.

The bug has been opened, Oneplus has been saying that it is working on it for months. The only thing left to do is to return the product and not buy Oneplus anymore.

I bought the oneplus and I have the right to demand that it work normally. This bug is embarrassing, and Oneplus has to fix it.

In pro mode there is no issue. 48mp also pretty good WB. In pro mode it does not jump from 6000 to 3000 eg, it stays pretty fixed. Solution just use pro mode and HDR is not needed cause it makes picture worser. More details and sharpness Lost.

    Cheers👍👍😋
