even when you click 2x to take photos. photos come out too dull and color science is again gets a hit here. Even colour science is broken for 48mp. why is OnePlus not clearing these issues even after phone being launched for more than 4 months. And now in 10.0.1 Everything is thrash

you kidding me? Why google cam will be used ? OnePlus should tackle to solve it or is the case here that buy a mobile from them put gcam since their camera software will degrade month by month and we can't do anything about it.

I too feel, the camera is slightly degraded in the latest update v3.8.71 as compared to previous versions. Hope for a better update in coming versions.
Till then gcam is the way out. OnePlus had been notoriously retarded in camera department, always. So I never had much expectations, hence not feeling pissed off.

Camera on oneplus 7 or 7 pro isnt too bad but at the same time there is a lot of scope for improvement considering the fact that OnePlus is supposed to be a 'flagship killer'.

OnePlus hasn't used the "flagship killer" line in a long time now.

People can perceive whatever they want. Unfortunately people are also very whiny. What you have is a group of people who want iPhone / Samsung / Pixel cameras without paying iPhone / Samsung / Pixel prices.

    So people have two choices:

Choice 1) Shell out the money for a more expensive phone that has more development put into its camera to help make up for subpar photography skills.

Choice 2) Live with the fact that the OnePlus camera is perfectly serviceable and actually learn how photography works to get good pictures.

Perhaps you need glasses, or perhaps you just need to use the camera to it's full extent... ... Take a photo of someone jumping, this is the easiest way to see the lag... perhaps stop being such a fanboy my friend.

When you spend a lot of money on a product I think it's reasonable to expect it to work as it is intended.

Take a photo of someone jumping indoors in a will lit room and you'll see the issue with the OnePlus 7. The problem can only be experienced because it is a lag from when you press the photo icon to actually taking the photo...

Perhaps you need to take learn to use the camera to its full extent. To take a photo of someone jumping you need to enter pro mode and adjust the shutter speed to compensate for the movement. Have you done that? Because your picture is going to be blurry otherwise.

Also, I've been extremely critical of OnePlus as of late, but I'm not going to place blame on them for something that's not their fault.

i have tried adjusting shutter speed, fixing focus, adjusting the ISO, trying outdoors as well as a will lit room... It lags... not hard to understand... I have been an amateur photographer for many years now, however I use the phone to take on the fly family photos. There was no issue on the 5t, which I just sold for the 7...

Well you just be doing something wrong, because I literally just took an indoor photo of someone jumping after manually adjusting shutter speed (1/1000) and manually focusing and it came out perfect

Or you legitimately cannot understand how photography works. You can call yourself an amateur photographer all you want but that doesnt mean you understand the scenarios, the lighting and what camera settings should be used to achieve the optimum shot.

I get it, you want to take that sub $1000 phone from your pocket and get the best shot without touching anything. but in the real world that doesnt happen. Even with the s10 I'm typing from at the moment it doesnt happen.

I agree that the camera is garbage, I wonder if they even tested it properly? Past phones was never as bad as the 7... I feel your disappointment and anger!

Okay I understand now, you lack a basic understanding. As I clearly stated, there is a lag from when taking a photo to when the photo is actually processed. This was not present in earlier models.

Surely even a fanboy like you can understand this basic statement.

I know exactly how to use the camera's poorly implemented Pro features, this does not stop any time lag.

I am at a loss why earlier models like the 5t performed perfectly, yet the 7 (a newer model) has many issues, especially with the camera.

Defend all you want, you only justify and encourage companies to continue to produce poorly made products.

    Go away now.
