Camera Issues

    Hi there,

    General thoughts on the camera.

    • Varying saturation using different lenses - the main camera provides over saturated shots and are over exposed, the other 2 lens are under saturated which means shots of the same place differ so much
    • The 3x zoom lens isn't used for zoom shot, the main lens is digitally zoomed which is very strange
    • You only have the option to use 3x zoom lens for portrait mode which makes action shots difficult as you have to adjust your position (e.g. move backwards) before you can get the object in
    • No video for zoom and ultra-wide lens
    • Nightscape is awful, worst mode I've even seen for general shots where there is limited lighting
Changes to all of these would make the Camera very competitive.

    Thoughts welcomed

A LOT OF IMPROVEMENT TO CAMERA NEEDED. THERE IS NO OPTION TO MAKE VIDEO AT WIDE ANGLE MODE. FOR PORTRAIT MODE PHOTOS, THE EDGES ARE NOT SHARP AS IN SAMSUNG S10+. THE COLORS OF BACKGROUND IN PORTRAIT ARE TOTALLY LOST. ALSO A YELLOWISH BACKGROUND TONE APPEARS IN PORTRAIT PHOTOS. WIDE ANGLE PHOTOS IN SAMSUNG S10+ ARE MILES BETTER THAN THAT ON OP7 PRO. THE DETAILS IN SAMUNG S10+ PHOTOS ARE MUCH CLEAR AND IN OP7PRO IT IS NOT CLEAR.
ONEPLUS REALLY NEEDS TO RETHINK ABOUT CAMERA. ALL OTHER THINGS ARE ON TOP OF THE LINE.

Photos overall are fuzzy (softned / blurred) and not crisp in detail when zoomed.

absolutly. The main Problem ist they are to soft/unclear a lot of details are not on the Picture. i dont now why O+ need examples from us. it is on every Photo. Just compare with gcam. the second thinhg is a pink Color "shift" (dont now the word in english. Pictures have a pink tint.

I think they have already rolled out 2 updates after launch. Still lot of bad reviews coming from all across because of camera quality. I think OP should take action before it turns serious.

    Thanks

ok, after some more photos i found some cases where gcam is still sharper.

what i noticed, red colors are still to pinky. i compare the pictures between gcam and op cam on two different pc monitors to be sure its not the Display. red colors are always to pinky and a little two bright.

but its a big Step forward from previous software
