Kind of funny how you think that the Pixel was the best phone you ever owned, but I think it was the worst?

Honestly, it's one of the things that I love about Android. Everyone can find their favorite flavor.

This Silk White phone is the most gorgeous phone I've ever owned. Then comes the beautiful black Note 7. Then probably the oversized Sprint version of Galaxy S2.
    Your top 3?

I am sorry. Just speak in your native tongue, and then we can Google translate.
Right now, you are making zero sense in English.

ok let me iterate the scenario fully, you opened the Camera and then zoomed(optically) one level up so that your camera showing 2x (which can be zoomed till 8 times) and then try to take picture (snap)... this picture has stabilization issues. pixels seems distorted.
Am I able to make sense?

    I understand.
    But I cannot see distortion.
Add a picture that you think is not distorted, for comparison.

I think your picture is a normal example of lens distortion. In reviews everyone talks about wide apertures as though that is the most importantly thing. Sure it lets in more light, but there's a cost to that. Increased size and weight and complexity and cost, or increased distortion or a combination.
Want an (almost) optically perfect lens? Here you go
    https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1077282-REG/zeiss_2040_293_otus_apo_planar_85mm.html

Edit to add - the wider the angle, the more distortion you get. LG has reduced the field of view on their wide angle cameras twice since the G5 to reduce distortion.

I literally took 15 minutes to crop and zoom this picture to match your previous one - and there was no major distortion.

Yes. Attention is finally reaching the point where optical distortion is going to be a next quality focus for mobile phones.

Indeed. This is Barrel Distortion – commonly seen on wide-angle lenses where lines appear curved inwards.

I also think it's time photographers would soon be commenting on the optical designs of mobile camera soon.

This is a good place to start leaning about optical distortion.

I'm liking your list! Looks-wise the OG Pixel is way behind. But when I think back, my top three, based on what the phone offered and what it was like using it day-to-day, are the Pixel, this Midnight Black 1+, and believe it or not the original Moto X.
