Alongside this update, we've cooked up a camera blind test survey using our latest update of the camera. Together, we have the Pixel 3 XL, Huawei P30 Pro and Samsung S10+ for comparison. We'd appreciate it if you could take some time to go through the survey. This helps a lot for us to better understand your thoughts about photo quality.

    Check it out: https://surveymonkey.com/r/PTSDYH8

    Never Settle.

For the comparison shots, we used the last version for the before photos and the latest version (OxygenOS 9.5.7) for the after photos. The comparison shots 1-3 were taken using Auto mode, shots 4-7 were taken using Nightscape mode. Both the before and after photos were taken under the same conditions. No lenses were used and the phone was hand-held.

Thanks Jimmy, there has always a confusion about the camera software used in DXO benchmark and the one users have currently.

Any information on if these version is at par with the DXO one?

When/will these processing improvements come to older OP models? I mean the improvements in color temperature, HDR and Night sight?

If in future updates you could improve portrait mode as atm it is to zoomed in and in a confined situation makes this mode to be useless being to close to the subject.
Also the wide angle lens to be use for video would be great.
This camera gets better and better, well done guys

If hardware is compatible, software will most probably get ported. as Oneplus did so before.

Installed the update. Camera quality is better but still not up to par with the other flagships. My biggest problem is that the camera is unpredictable. Sometimes it really takes a great shot at one go while at other times it’s takes a few shots to get something decent. Keeping objects in focus and keeping details intact are the biggest short comings of this camera. I really hope Oneplus does not stop improving the camera software of the 7 pro now that it’s not really the new and shiny flagship on the block.
