There are lots of instructions online if you just Google phone photography.
but basically I use it to set a low ISO (induces noise to enhance scene brightness), and higher shutter opening times . this way I get to use steady hands or a tripod to take amazing pictures at low light with no noise.
it can also be used to produce artistic effects like this:

now how about I lower the ISO and put a fast shutter speed to make it darker, and at the same time mess with the Color temperature to make it look like a sunrise on an alien planet?

you can also control the focus in order to produce actual lense blur instead of that cheap portrait crap you get with software.
or RAW file capture which I don't even know how to do properly xD
