    The folks at the oneplus store you visited don't know what they're talking about. The warp charger is designed to be backwards compatible with all dash charge enabled devices.

    you are very much right!
    the devices will get charged.
    however it will be at dash speeds and not wrap speeds as the earlier models don't have the necessary hardware to safely support wrap speeds.

    Yes I know that, I was highlighting the breathtaking lack of knowledge from the oneplus staff who advised you not to use on dash charge devices when it's designed to work as a dash charger for older oneplus devices.
