Cannot run 90hz on 7pro via OnePlus 7 Pro T-Mobile

Ever since oos 11 I have not been able to run 90hz. It will look nice and smooth for the first few swipes and then it drops to (what feels like) 30hz. Absolutely awful. I also have the T-Mobile version of the 7pro so I may be on an older version and cannot update Because I dont know how to get the international firmware or whatever its called. This has been such a bad experience along with the plethora of other issues that I am gonna jump ship. Not just oneplus. But android. I am the only Android user in my family anymore and the extreme consistency of IOS has been very appealing. I don't want the phone with the highest megapixel camera, the highest refresh rate, or even fastest processor. Im just looking for something that will work.

There are entire guides available for converting to global ROM in places like XDA-Developers, Android-centric blogs, and even on this forum itself! Do note that your data will have to be wiped in order to do so, so be prepared to back up your data. It also helps to perform a factory reset to get rid of any lagging remnants of the previous OS that didn't get removed during the update process.

Thank you very much for the response. I will check out the guides. Not sure if I'll go through with converting as I am a bit afraid to do it and its a bit of a pain in the *** to do this just for a "better" experience. But thank you very much.

Before converting, I would suggest the factory reset first to see if that fixes anything.

Okay, however that may be a bit risky. i sent my phone to OnePlus for a display replacement, and when I got my phone back it had been factory reset. and it was set back to oos 10 and I had to wait a few weeks for oos11 to be available again.

I am on the latest Oxygen OS 11.0.2.1 and I am still experiencing theses issues. When I set my refresh rate to 90hz, it's still at 60hz. I just updated from android 10 and there is a huge difference.

With a GM 1915, i convert to international, but i have a black screen in 90hz, i must stay in 60hz and FHD to get a stable versione of Andorid 11.
I rolleback to T Mobile Firmaware, didn't find another solution. :(

Yeah no hate but I think I'm just going to run custom roms on the OP7 Pro from now on. There are way too many problems with OOS 11. Just installed Lineage OS 18.1 about 6 days ago and it's running like butter with no bugs or stutter. And everything is working!😳😳
