same here, 5t
Same problem here on OP3.
Started out of nowhere
Same issue. OP 3T.
Recent Google update.
Suspect it's a Google issue.. Really hope they fix it
delete this previous recognition and retain it again by doing it yourself...or another approach is it is previously backed up you don't need to further instruct it...
all you have to do is reset it...and it is ready to respond your voice...
I have the same problem. 5.1.4 official
Your Solution is not working.
I have the same problem after oxgen os updated to 5.1.4
Same here on op5t.
My wife with op5 doesn't seem to have the problem, weird
me too brother
the same on my one plus 5t it only recognize my ok Google voice from home screen after uninstall the Google app update in Google play. I'm on oos 5.1.4 stable
Calm down everyone.. This isn't OnePlus's fault, its google app's fault.. The latest update probably only the beta version seems to have disabled the voice detection.. And I guess they have acknowledged the issue too, so wait for the next update and see if it's solved..
If you can't get to it because it's greyed out then please tell me how to do that? Before you go there yes I've uninstalled and reinstalled and I've deleted all data for the Google app and reinstalled. So what else is there to try?
hi oneplus Team. We need the answer from you.
No it's happening on the normal version as well as I thought installing that would fix the error. No chance!
me too. Re installing the app is still not fixing the issue.
there, it's app's fault, not OnePlus's..
I was not attributing blame to OnePlus so I'm not sure what your post is about?
same here. before update i had I had been having horrid issues with Google Assistant. Would have intermittent issues with the prompts not playing a sound, would have to watch for icon change that shows listening for voice input. Also using Google Assistant or voice input key in keyboard (google keyboard) the response time is limited to 4 to 5 seconds, meaning it would actually cut me off while i was still talking in Google Assistant and using keyboard voice input in Android Messages would only pick up first 4-5 seconds. I would pause for it to catch up at which point the voice input would time out/stop listening and never catch up. If it did catch up it would leave out whole sections of text. And what it was recording eas not always accurate. Cannot pinpoint when but seems going back to May or early June these issues started.
I purchased a 1st Gen Pixel to see if it is a Android issue or OP and had no issues on Pixel with the above described issues. The OP5T is definitely a more premium phone, just shows the 2 year gap of development. But Pixel was very functional.
I did do a reset of OP5T before doing the upgrade and set up phone from backup. Considering wiping again and setting up as new device, but really don't want the hastle of setting up a phone for 3rd time in 2 weeks.
Also Android Auto does not seem to be affected by current OK Google issue, however it did still exhibit the "time out" of 4-5 seconds after trying to give message for text sending.
