A short introduction is that instead of painting their car, people have them "wrapped" to change it's colour and what I'm going to do is use car wrap to change the colour of my white style swap back to a light gloss blue. I am new here and I'm sure that there hasn't been a thread for what I'm going to do with my One. I feel that the colour options available for the one are good but I feel like I need more colour on my One. I am aware of skins but I feel they don't last very long, Have limited colour options and they only cover the back. In the future I may purchase more style swap covers to use for more colours and Carbon Fibre. I won't to be able to do it any time soon but as soon as I get started I'll update this thread.
This is the colour I'm going to be using. I saw the colour in this video and fell in love with it almost immediately.

So what do you guys think?

    Started but not yet finished

Skins is a good idea mate. they really last long and most of the quality ones are made from the same material with the car wrap. The biggest advantage of the skins imo is the precison cuts other than that you can try your luck. Another thing u should have in mind is that u need to heat those in order to curve and stick right. just check if skins are optimized to curve with less heat since u can heat your OPO as much as your car.

On a car they would usually last maybe 3-5 years

You could use plasti dip in a spray can it would have a rubber fell and adds protection. Also when your done with it you can peel it off. I wanted to to this with the bamboo sides but seems like alot of work. But since you want the whole thing done it will be easy.

I agree definitely. I have done wraps on my friends cars before and I am aware of the procedure. the main reason is I want more colour and I will be taking the back off the phone for the actually wrapping.

Absolutely. I may also get another back and put Carbon Fibre wrap on it to cover the entire backing as well as the sides.

The load on the material is extremely different though. But i'm still interested in your results.
I think a simple/plain color is best for these kind of applications. How thick is the layer?

On a phone I'm not entirely sure but based on my experience the actual vinyl is quite thin.

So guys I may need more help for choosing a colour. I'm kind of on the fence with the gloss blue. So I provided a link of the colour options. I'd prefer if it wasn't a Matte colour.
