Is there anyone else with this issue? I opened a support case with oneplus but they seem not to be aware what cast screen is :)
Now they suggested me to get to the latest firmware 33R and recheck it. So I did and the issue is still there.

If I use the Chromecast app from Google things like Netflix, Hulu, Pandora, etc. works fine.

When I go to Settings -> Display -> Cast Screen I do see my Chromecast, but it won't connect. Luckily I'm already rooted so I just installed this app from XDA and it gives the option to mirror my screen in the Chromecast app.

Posted the problem on jira, Search for "chromecast screen mirroring" and upvote it. It's a problem with Google services and not Cyanogen.

Thats normal. The device needs to support chromecast screen mirroring which is not the case by default. You can use #MirrorEnabler from xda to enable it

    Thanks, I didn't know about #MirrorEnabler.
Though, if there's the option to enable screen mirroring in settings menu, I expect it to work out of the box. Spoiled little me
