Going to need more details here. When you say "not working", what do you mean? What's happening, and what do you expect to be happening? What are you casting, how are you casting, and where are you trying to cast it to?

lol. You didn't really give any details. Let me be more specific with my questions.

What brand is the TV? Is the TV connected to WiFi?
Are you getting an error message when it doesn't cast, or does just nothing happen?
And for clarification, you're just trying to cast your phone screen onto your TV? Not a YouTube video or anything like that?

Then it should be just a matter of tapping the tv name on the cast list. Though I may have had to set my "old" Sony tv input to "mirror" the first time.

Should be able to cast if the tv is on the list:
Settings > Bluetooth & device connections > Connection preferences > Cast.

I'm sorry if I was not clear enough. let's just start again. so I'm not able to cast my one plus to my Sony smart TV. I've tried to check if the TV is on the list, however it was not there. both the devices are connected to same wifi as well. I've checked on the forum and it seems like other people are facing this issue too.

Set the tv input to "screen mirroring."
Then tap your tv, once its on the list, in the cast menu on your phone.

I'm sorry but you doesn't sound like an expert. this is the basic step to cast your device on to your smart TV and you think that I've posted my concern here without checking the basic ts. I've this smart TV for last 2 yrs and I know how to cast but it just doesn't work with my one plus though I can cast using other devices. So thanks I'll figure it out
