Everyone expected a higher price for the OP5T and it didn happen so maybe we are lucky again with the OP6

If we go by the price shown for the iPhone X, which we know the sale price of, the OP6 would be £568 inc. tax.

I don't know if it's an oled but if its not it is a problem. because with oled you can turn off the pixels around the notch

If it shares the same panel as the R15, it's AMOLED. So the sides blacked out will be mostly indistinguishable from the bit in the middle

ok then it should be an option to be able to "get rid of the notch" but on LCD screens it just looks dumb to black out the notch

The OnePlus 6 will have a notch, and here’s why

“How big a notch is always depends on your choices as a company,” said Carl Pei, the public face of OnePlus, when he met me in London last week. In his mind, the question of whether to have a notch at all is a foregone conclusion. OnePlus, like every other phone maker opting to go this design route, sees it as adding more screen real estate instead of taking anything away. “What you are essentially doing is moving the entire notification bar up, giving users more content on their screen.”

Edit: OnePlus provided the precise measurements for its upcoming notch as 19.616mm x 7.687mm."

Note that the image there is credited by the verge as 'Photo: OnePlus'. So this I suspect is another leaked image of the OP6 (if you can call it that when released from the company itself).

Well, the article mentions several quotes from Carl Pei, so I think the image was provided by OnePlus.

How many times are people going to post a link to the same verge article?! Is it possible one of the mods can delete all but the 1st before this gets out of hand!?

Heck, they even gave out dimensions!! They must have been afraid of the consumer backlash that they might have to face after launch, so they cleared everything up before!!
    Nice move!!!

Looks good enough in my honest opinion. Just give us the 'hide notch' thing.

notch is not the problem.smaller notch ,no doubt.
the problem is they haven't yet get the bottom bezels out which apple has managed to do.
so it would have been better to stick to originality like Samsung has done after a long long time.

    Notch? UGH!

I can't help but feel like phone designers are restricting themselves to the purest rectangle they can, and that's what had given rise to the notch. I don't understand why they can't make the top of the phone curve away from the screen (exaggerate the Nexus 5 curve) and add the camera/speaker/whatever there. Instead they're determined to cut into the screen to keep a flat top... why? The Verge article mentions they need space to run the cables anyway, why not put it in the "forehead" with your sensors instead of the "chin"?

The one thing I'd want Android phone makers to copy from Apple is the Face ID scanner - not because I've got any desire to unlock my phone with my face, but because I want to use it to 3D scan objects so I can 3D print replacement parts or intricate shapes.
