Iphone chargers are only 1A, but the iPad chargers are 2.5A. Are you using the right one?

Lol, I worked at Apple for almost 3 years so I am sure I know what an iPad charger is. Sorry not trying to be pompous lol.

Faster than? I do not have OPO yet, so I do not know what is the Amp on it.
Basically it is up to the phone to decide how fast it will charge.
The Voltage is given, but current (Amp) is what is max for this charger.
The phone might NOT use the whole possibilities of the charger (due to resistance it is going to use) and actual current might be lower.
You are NOT going to damage the OPO.

Good finding about ANY Apple made device which is compatible with non-apple device (I got one too. display port to VGA converter from Mac works on my Dell)
