I baught this just to try. For under 1 dollar I wasn't expecting much.. And yes, it's useless. The app recognizes the plug being put in, asks if it's headphones or the button... But that's it. Pressing it wont work.

EDIT: It DOES work! It's just slow, it needs quite a long press I think. Maybe there's a setting for it. Anyways, for 0.99 dollars I'm amazed :D

There are quite a few clones out there, so you could try all of the different apps that come with them(ikey, mi key, klick, KeyCut) and use the one that works best. I own an original pressy that I only used on my old Samsung and I used it with the "Klick" app because the original pressy app wouldn't bypass the android lock screen. I haven't tried it with my One yet.

Well, I gave up on the button after all... I've managed to get it to register a single klick three times, and it never really works when you want it to. Hirrrr. I liked the thought of having a button there and at the same time protecting the headphone-hole. Ohh well, maybe I'll buy an original mi key instead :)

These pressy (clone) buttons come with software that allows you to map an action to a press or press sequence of the button. The software registers a single, double, triple short or long press and then initiates whatever action you mapped to it; opening an app, switching on the camera light etc. You can try the software with an android headset as the pressy button is nothing more than a button built inside a headphone connector.

I got my pressy clone from deal extreme and it was a piece of useless crap. I don't think these things work with the one (tried all apps I can think of). Most apps recognize it and asks you if it's a headset or button but that's about it.

I wouldn't call it useless, it does what it says it will do, but I don't find it practical tbh. If you are in need of the functionality of it then the Pressy works and does what it's meant to do. But for me it just seems an un-needed button.
