Members have often asked me what the requirements are for a "valid" thread on the forums.
To clarify that, here's a list of questions you should answer before posting:
- Will other members benefit from what you are posting?
- Is your title clear enough?
- Does your title reflect the content of your post?
- Are you in the correct category?
- Are you in the correct language section?
- Is your post an original thread? (in other words: has it already been posted?)
- Does your post respect the Terms and Rules of the forums?
- Is what you're intending to post legal?
- If it comes from another website, are you authorized to post it here?
If the answer to any of these questions is no, you probably shouldn't post it.
There's an exception for the first question though, which is if you're experiencing a problem and asking for advice (you still shouldn't post it if the answer to any of the other questions is no though).
Regarding the search for existing threads, we know this forum's search engine isn't perfect

However, we found out changing your keywords and/or searching with "Search titles only" checked often helps when you can't find a thread. If all else fails, use Google and append "site:forums.oneplus.net" to your query to search only the OnePlus forums (example: "how to get invites site:forums.oneplus.net").
This thread is also an interesting read regarding search.
Also keep in mind that creating threads solely for the purpose of asking for invites is not allowed and neither is asking for invites on threads that aren't offering any.
I hope this helps you guys out and will lead to less threads being closed in the future
Edit: since I'm fed up with people randomly begging for invites in this thread, let me be clear:
from now on, whoever begs or asks (call it whatever you want) for invites on this thread gets issued a warning immediately.Click to expand...
