一[China version distinction]一help.

    if i buy china version oneplus one with colourOS i can modify it or change from colourOS to OFFICAL (not fans converted version !) CyanogenMod with his regular updates ??
    _pre-order starts in my city on 28 may_ and i dont know buy or wait .PLZ help >sry my english.

    Don't think so.

    The Chinese version has different hardware especially the radio. Flashing CM with different radio could brick your phone. You ll most likely need a modified version of CM. They are different OPO.

    This is just a guess but I m probably right

    Chinese version isn't rooted out the box afiak but I'm sure the smart folks at xda might be able to do it I'd guess

    It's not about root. They are different hardware.

    The original question was if the Chinese version can be flashed with original CM rom intended for international distribution, and I think the answer would be No.

    The chinese version will only work in china the bands cannot be changed. unkown if you can change that version of phone since cm may not be availble there.:)

    I am planning on getting the Chinese version to use in the UK. The bands I need are 1800 or 800. Neither the Chinese nor the international versions have band 800 (20) so 1800 will have to do. Will try the ColorOS for a while and probably flash cynogen a bit later.

    3G will work for sure though.

    for CyanogenMod 11S already gone 2 updates with many fixes and accurate tuning for camera
    unlikely little-known ColorOS will fix every little thing .
