    Title pretty much sums it
started day before yesterday, didn't pay it much attention, but then it started sucking up battery like a *****
And yes before other ppl pounce upon me, I did "use the search function" and from that I've done the following
    1-Cleared chrome's cache
    2-Cleared chrome's entire data
    3-Wiped system cache
    4-Force stopped it numerous times
    All to no avail

PS: Suggesting another browser is not a solution

Same here ... With like 15 tabs open usually it is the top battery sucker ... But was worse ... Since version 56 it is less.

I've noticed this too, particularly on official OOS. you can FC it all you like, but it won't stay closed on its own. probably not something that can be fixed without root.

No you didn't. There are videos on YouTube, articles on places like XDA and Android Authority and I have seen many suggestions on this site alone, plus I have posted links many times.

maybe you could outline as to what exactly I missed, if you read my thread you'd see I did actually do a bunch of options, also, if you're gonna suggest that I wipe my data just cause an app isn't working then I'm sorry to say factory reset is not always (or atleast should not always be the answer)

regarding search, I did a proper Google search as well along with a forum search, that turned up mostly 2012, 2013 articles, this one was the most recent one I was able to find and the solutions outlined by it, I'd already tried and neither worked for me nor the OP of that thread

Is chrome really the culprit.. Coz on my galaxy note 4 haven't experienced any battery drain.... I think the oxygen OS after nougat has this battery drain issue in OP3T
