So contact the app developer, it's up to them to make sure their apps are optimised for all devices.

Same issue for me on my OnePlus 7T. After trying lots of other browsers, I've switched to Brave Browser - as it's based on Chromium it has the most similar experience and due to their size have a more trustworthy rep. The added benefits are ad/script blocking features & they pay you in crypto to use it if you want. You can also import bookmarks/passwords from Chrome. They have a desktop browser too.

We seem to be wasting our time trying to explain this, it won't be long till yet another person enters the thread with a "yeah, me too" comment.

On my 7T freezing happens during scrolling in Chrome, reading an article coming from Twitter.
On my 3T I never had any problem.

You are wasting you're time, considering your comments are unnecessarily dismissive, and fail to address the fact that the only reports (and there are plenty of them) that clearly relate to this issue, are users of OnePlus devices running OnePlus' OxygenOS. This issue is also universal regardless of which browser engine is set to default (an OS level setting).

And to reinforce this point, and for the sake of helping others experiencing this, the only two "fixes" I've found are to temporarily toggle (disable/re-enable) wifi, or to open screen recording. You don't have to record, just have the native OxygenOS screen recorder open and drag it over to an unobstructive corner of the screen.

Again... OS level interactions. This is a OnePlus problem that OnePlus needs to address.
