Clear Image vs Auto/HDR (Low Light Indoors)

    Just took a few sample photos with the new updated camera app in CM 11s 4.4.4, Seeing major improvement over Auto and HDR when using Clear Image setting, a lot less grain and sharper images.

    Note these photos were taken by myself twho have very unsteady hands, will upload some outdoors shots later for comparison.

    Clear HDR would be fantastic, but would take a bit logner to process one image. HDR takes about 1.5-2.5 seconds, Clear Image takes 2-4 (depending if it needs to refocus).

    Unless you have really steady hands I could see it creating some ghosting in your photos.

    It shouldn't be much harder imo. Clear Image takes a bunch of photos, why not just change the exposure on said photos just like in HDR. same amount of photos taken, same amount of data to process

    Going to be taking some more photos thoughout the week (again on each of the three modes) outside, moving opbects, people, night shots.

    Clear looks better with some, while HDR looks better with others. The ones with fabric or intricate details look better on HDR.
