Recently while scrolling through Twitter I encountered with this tweet made by Italian OnePlus Account:

It translates to "We have blocked the roll-out of 4.0.1 due to some annoying bugs. Will drop 4.0.2 by next week."

It assures that the bigs currently prevalent and serious battery drains will be fixed in the next OTA.

Nougat was rushed due to the deadline and some people were furious for the possibility of not delivering it by time. They literally threatened OnePlus! (Indirectly)

thanks. that is useful. Am in the UK and haven't been updated to nougat yet anyway. but I had been toying with doing the VPN thing and updating. However, now I think I will just relax and leave well enough alone until they drop it officially. my guess is that it was rushed to meet the end of year deadline, and was only really a beta (in reality) anyway. So a couple of revisions won't hurt before an install. Anyone know if the new file format actually needs everything being deleted first? It seems odd if that is the case for an update? How do you then return the phone to exactly the same state before changing the file system?

Maybe they will miss this deadline too but still glad to see them working hard on bug fixes.

If OP have apparently "blocked" the roll out why are they still letting users download it if they use a VPN? It seems an odd response to say "annoying bugs" but 4.0.2 was probably always due in the next week or so.

It's completely impossible to bring the phone to exactly the same state as before changing the file system. But that's not a Oneplus Problem. Google is totally unable to give us a useful backup system. Some even say they could, bur they don't, because they want to force you to save your personal data and contacts to the Google servers, so they can easier spy at your data and contacts.
