    Hi,
I have Jio on both the slots. If I set data to Sim1, Sim2 goes offline and vice-versa.. Doesn't Oneplus 5t support dual 4g standby??

its JIO requirement to be on 1st Sim slot.. no wonder if u change the primary data use to 2nd sim then first sim goes to offline and wise versa..

For Snapdragon processors with Qualcomm Modem, only one sim card can use data at one given time.

Media Tek Kirin 960 processor used in Honor V 10 supports dual data at one time. ( 2 Jio sim card or Jio sim and any other sim also supports VoLTE and data enabled at same time.)

Rumours ...Upcoming Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 professor should support dual data simultaneously.

whenever we set any SIM slot to use data, the network mode automatically gets shifted to LTE(4G)/3G/2G and in other SIM the network mode will be set as 2G basically to recieve calls only
When you choose your sim1 for data network, your phone sets the network mode for SIM 1 as LTE(4G)/3G/2G and the network mode for SIM 2 will be set as 2G. vice-versa
Now the problem arises right over here, as we know Jio is a pure 4G LTE network and doesn’t have 2G or 3G signals so, your phone cannot connect to a 4G network while searching for 2G networks

if both are JIO then it will not work... one SIM will be useless if we have both in one phone better use other network ..

yes it does not support. if you are using LTE only sim card than only one will work.

I think you're confusing Dual 4G Dual Standby with Dual 4G Dual Active. You see, your phone does support Dual 4G Dual Standby, however, due to technical differences particularly the receiver, you can only connect to one 4G network at a time while the other remains at 2G (not sure if this includes 3G as well) connection and vice versa depending on your data SIM. On the other hand, Dual 4G Dual Active has 2 separate receivers - one for each SIM meaning you could connect to two 4G networks at a time. Hope it helps! Cheers!

yes you are correct but in this case if you have both JIO connection then only one network will be available and the second SIM will be dummy and no use.. without network coverage.
